makana grants

The Warrior Grant Program was developed to assist our Wounded Warrior families with everyday needs and issues. The program has included monetary grants for things such as:

  • A repair or replacement of appliances, home or car repair, making a home handicap accessible

  • Education support such as books or other related needs, handicap vans or other forms of transportation.

This program was established to fill a gap that no government agency or private veterans organization currently does in Hawaii. This program expands Wounded Warrior Ohana's mission statement and enhances the support we can give to our Wounded Warriors and their families.

Scholarship Program

Beginning in 2020, Wounded Warrior Ohana began providing academic scholarships to children of Gold Star Families. More recently the Wounded Warrior Ohana expanded the program to include children of wounded warriors. The two fallen heroes honored through these scholarships are Richard T. Blount and PFC JR Salvacion.
